COMPARING AND COSTRASTING
Compare and contrast the following types of solotions: the active material in  a helium-neon laser(glow like a neon light), bronze (coopper-tin), cloudy ice cubes, and ginger ale. 

SIMILATIRIES
That the matirials have solute, can be another liquid, a gas or even a solid also the solution combined like liquids-solution, gas-liquid, gas-solid. All of the solution can change to another,also can be divided or separated.

Differences
That liquid is made of 1 type of molecules where a solution is made of 2 types of molecules, is a homogenoes mixture of substances in a liquid form. Also is there forms and their particles.

VARIABLE AND CONTROLS -Scientists design experiments in much the same way. They take great care to make sure only one factor in the experiment, the indepent variable, is changed. The independent variable in your experiment is the brand of sports drink. The factor that changes as a result of the independent varible is called dependent variable.  The dependent variable in your experiment is the mass of dry material. Controls are factors that are kept the same, providing a basis for comparision. Controls in your experiment are the identical jars, amount of drink, and the temparature of the plate.
